CAMPANHA

At least 6,000 families in the 16 favelas of Maré are in urgent need of food and, at the end of the year, we are going to donate food baskets and hygiene products to these people. Each food basket has a cost of 260 reais and we count on your support to reach this solidary goal.

WE NEED TO ACT IMMEDIATELY!
DONATE NOW

Rest assured; your donation will reach the home of those who need it most. We know who these people are, their names and where they live. These are families monitored since the beginning of the pandemic by the social team of Redes da Maré, based on the campaign ‘Maré Says NO to Coronavirus’.

Our aim is to help all Maré’s residents to escape this situation of extreme poverty. Through our newly created Right to Health axis, we plan to build a Community Kitchen in Maré and work on other fronts to ensure food security for vulnerable populations, such as homeless people, for example. It's a long, but necessary road. Eating is a right, not a privilege!
