Right to health Heroes Against Dengue

The Project aims to strengths awareness actions against Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya and Yellow Fever virus transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The initial proposal is for participants to become multipliers, informing their own community about the dangers of these viral diseases, reducing mosquito proliferation and infection rate. Simultaneously, there is an incentive to the responsibility of the residents. The project activities are carried out in partnership with 4 public schools of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Initially participants receive a basic training by qualified tutors and, afterwards, they share the knowledge with other residents about ways of prevention, contagion, symptoms and other guidance through home, schools and institutions visits. In this sense, students are involved in scientific and social training activities.
