PROJECT

Through contact with governmental and non-governmental institutions, we try to contribute with the construction of a public security policy in Maré and other favela territories, with a perspective of valuing life and expanding citizenship for the subjects living in these spaces. Redes da Maré participates in public security rights councils at local, state and national levels, prioritizing dialogue with managers and workers of this field. We have also been working in forums, seminars and dialogues on Public Security, with different segments of society (Legislative, Executive and Judiciary, as well as with researchers).
